Monster (in Color)
This is the second rendering of the "monster" (see below). This time I painted over the scrtachboard with acrylic glaze... just an experiment. This was fun to do. I think I might try some more like this ;)
Did you mean for the character to look huggable... or sad? The comments fascinate me.... I was thinking more of a dream, or the character as metaphorically abstract.... I suppose I'm really imagining things, but is the character on a character's back? Is this a "baby" metaphor riding on the invisible? I love the moon, I'll have to send you a picture of a slug with a moon like object in the background that I took one time rather accidentally.... and I like the color. I always love the deep jewel tones....

i want to give him a hug! i think the colours work great on this, partularly on the sea with the reflection...
